Oigo Gamer

Oigo Gamer lets you hear yourself speak even while listening to your computer’s audio output. A small (adjustable) amount of your microphone signal is fed, without delay, into your earphones along with your computer’s audio output. As a result, you hear yourself clearly, in a completely natural way, in the overall audio context. Your voice is not muffled even though you are using headphones or earbuds.

In addition, OigoGamer mixes an adjustable amount of your computer’s audio output with your microphone signal and the combined result is sent to remote listeners. Now, people listening will hear your voice along with your computer’s audio environment. For example, if you’re playing a video game, the sounds of your game will be heard by remote listeners along with your voice.

The result is audio reality!

Video Gamers

Imagine that you’re inside a helicopter in a video game. A helicopter is a very noisy vehicle. It’s spinning rotors whirr… the engine and exhaust roar … very turbulent air rushes by like a hurricane outside … electronic systems beep and chirp … crewmembers shout over the din … and at times there’s gunfire! Now, imagine that you’re playing that video game with other online players. Should those remote players hear your voice as if you’re talking on the phone from your quiet room, or should they hear you as if you’re really in that helicopter? The answer is obvious. Oigo Gamer takes game-play to the highest level of audio realism.

Karaoke Singers

While the music plays, karaoke singers need to hear themselves sing in sync with the music.  In addition, karaoke singers need a very easy way to record their singing with the music.  Interrupting the fun to use an audio editor to “time-shift” a voice track to sync with the music is no fun, and it’s no longer required.  With Oigo Gamer, the singer hears his/her voice and the music in perfect sync with absolute clarity, plus the mixed voice and music is provided to the computer for direct, immediate, recording or transmission.  Remote listeners hear you sing in real-time, in perfect sync with the music.  The singer can replay the recording immediately after the song ends, without the annoying waste of valuable time fiddling with audio editor software just to hear the recording.

Harmonizing Singers

It’s fun to sing along with your favorite songs. Now imagine those favorite songs with your voice joining in! With Oigo Gamer, you can easily add your voice to your favorite songs!! Because Oigo Gamer has no audio delay, you will harmonize in perfect sync with your favorite singer or group and learn to phrase the lyrics like those music stars do.

Musicians and Composers

Composing new music often involves playing in sync with earlier recordings for review and possible coordination with others.  Oigo Gamer makes it easy to capture the combined sounds of the streamed or recorded music with new live-play music. Many times, composers don’t want their flow of creativity to be interrupted by the technicalities of complex audio mixer panels or software. With Oigo Gamer, just start a recorder, then play or sing along with the music. When you stop, you’ll have a new recording of the sounds that you sang or played “live” mixed with the original (prerecorded) music.

Singing Coaches and Students

Oigo Gamer enhances the teaching and learning of singing by making it easy for singing coaches to hear a student sing in sync with recordings provided by the teacher. It’s easy with Oigo Gamer for a remote coach to hear a student singing along with music provided by the teacher, music that may have been recorded just a moment before. For example, a coach could record the coach singing a musical segment as an instructional example and quickly transfer that file to the remote student. The student then sings in harmony and in perfect sync with that instructional music segment while the remote instructor hears and evaluates the combined music.

Singing coach in England and student in Estonia? Singing coach in Canada and student in Singapore? No problem!!!

Actors

Learning a new role for a play or a movie can be much easier by learning with the aid of Oigo Gamer. A recording of the play’s or movie’s soundtrack can be played into Oigo Gamer, allowing you to hear the context where you must speak your part.

If you’re playing a famous person and you’d like to learn their phrasing of speech, Oigo Gamer can help by letting you hear yourself speak (“in the role”, of course) while you hear the famous speaker’s voice from the past. An easy-to-make recording of that audio combination … you and the famous person speaking “together” … will let you quickly compare your speech’s cadence, tone, volume, emphasis, and phrasing with the original speaker’s.

Audio reality to end headphone isolation and fatigue

People tend to speak louder, even shout, when anything muffles the sound of their own voice. We’ve all noticed this when people wearing headphones or earbuds talk to people nearby … they often shout because they hear their speech at an unnaturally low level or they can’t hear themselves at all. Why doesn’t this happen with telephones? Because telephones feed a little of the speaker’s voice back into the phone’s earpiece… just enough that “it sounds natural.” OigoGamer does the same thing, providing the user with adjustable volume control to set the amount of microphone feedback that’s most comfortable for the user (obviously, some people speak louder than others, and microphones vary also). Oigo Gamer users don’t shout when they speak because they aren’t isolated from their own voices.
