What We Do
Whirlwind3D creates and produces innovative software and electronic hardware products for virtual/augmented/mixed reality applications and distributed simulations (e.g. flight simulators and other simulation-based training systems). Our products use the technology in patents we’ve been awarded in areas of video signal processing and audio communications.
Patent awarded for real-time image processing of live video, substantially reducing the bandwidth needed for video transmission.

WIRELESS VIDEO AND AUDIO FOR VIRTUAL REALITY HEAD MOUNTED DISPLAYS (HMDs)
Currently, head-mounted displays (HMDs) must be wired to a computer for video and audio signals, severely limiting the user experience.
Whirlwind3D’s technology enables wireless use of HMDs, greatly improving the user experience. An electronic prototype is being built now.

Whirlwind3D markets its innovative and unique audio products under the brand name “Oigo”. Since audio products ultimately relate to what someone hears, and “oigo” means “I hear” in Spanish, the Oigo brand name means audio wherever it’s heard! The Oigo product family is a set of specialized audio products that fit niche applications particularly well.
